Rules Of The Forum

۞ Please don't use screen names. (Example: I_luv_horses_14) Your Name should include only letters. (Example: Edward Elric) It's okay that you love horses, really! But you don't need to put it in your name.
۞ Use proper grammar. This includes no "Text Talk" (Example: "I'm gonna b l8!" Correct spelling should be "I'm going to be late!") We can overlook simple things like incorrect spElling as long as it's not too dramatic.
۞ Any topics containing mature content must be labeled as such. Failure to label a topic with FAOE (for Adult Eyes Only) will be met with a forty-eight hour warning before the topic is deleted forever.
۞ Not too much cursing. A little is okay, but one curse word in every sentence isn't.
۞ Only admins can approVe character Bios.
۞ Wait for your character bio to be approved before role playing. All posts you make before your bio is approved will be deleted.
۞ Try not to act to out of charactEr. If your bio says your emo, don't Role Play as a happy rainbow lover.
۞ Respect the admins, they're in charge.
۞ Don't be terribly Rude to everyone OOC. If your character hates theirs, okay, but that doesn't mean you have to hate them. If you do, take it up with them in the PMs, nobody wants to get in the middle of it.
۞ No godmodding. (Example: He shot him in the head, killing him instantly.)
۞ Roleplay should not be in first person. It should be in third person and in past or present tense. (Example: I chased him down the street. Correct way should be: She chased him down the street. Or: She chases him down the street)

۞ A password will be needed on all profiles. You can find it in the above rules. There are letters randomly capitalized within the rules, beginnings of sentences not included, that spell out the password. Unless you have this password on your character sheet, you will not be accepted.

۞ Be Respectful- No compromises. No exceptions. It's the number one rule at TBC. Obviously people will not always see eye to eye. Being kind and courteous to your fellow user is the most important thing in any social situation. Be respectful, courteous and levelheaded. Don’t say something just for the sake of being rude. If someone bothers you, don't fly off the handle: let them know calmly that you're being bothered. "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you."

۞ Enter at your own risk.- No one is forcing anyone to use the Chatbox. Should you encounter a spoiler it is your own fault, please do not complain about it. Avoid spoiling major plot details and check to see who is "spoiler free" before posting. Be courteous, basically. Also please remember that this is a private chat box for our members and we all have vastly different views, there may be things that you do not agree with. Topics have free-reign for the most part. Just don't come in posting random hentai shit, k? Or I will fucking kick you out.

۞ No Bashing.- This goes along with “Be Respectful”. This means:
No bashing people. (This includes any single person and or group/race of people)
If there's something in particular you dislike, that is a controversial topic, about a character/plotline, make your comment and move along.


۞ No Flaming/Flame Baiting- Flaming is attacking someone. Very simple, if you're respectful and don't get into fights, you won't need to worry about it. Flame Baiting is making statements that try to get them to respond back at you with derogatory statements. It's punished just as severely as flaming itself.

۞ No Fighting- Don’t fight with other members, and definitely don’t start fights with the staff. Seriously, it’s not worth it and no one will end up happy, least of all you. Any problems you have can be solved with calm and polite conversation. If you have a question or wish to bring up a topic with the staff that you don’t wish other posters to see, then use PM's. That’s what they are there for.


۞ Banning System- Sometimes our members need to be reminded of our rules...in such case...
First Warning - Kick
Second Warning - Kick and five minute ban
Third Warning - Kick and two hour ban
Fourth Warning - Kick and twelve hour ban
Fifth Warning - Kick and permanent ban from Cbox

I can be lenient, and fellow mods and admins can as well. But if you piss us off, we will use the power we have to keep you from pissing off anyone else.

۞ Forty-eight hours - You have this long before you are skipped in whatever topic you are in. Anything that happens to your character is on you, unless you post an Absence in the Introduction/Department section of our forum.
۞ Violence - You damn well know this is welcome. Be as bloody as you want. We're awesome like that.
۞ You cannot kill someone unless given approval by staff.
۞ This site is meant for intermediate-advanced RPers. At least strangle out a 200 word count in every post, no?
۞ PM or tell a staff member in the Chatbox when you have completed a topic. We'll move it out of the way into the Graveyard for you to read whenever you want. this is to keep the place clean, you know?
